February Guidance Reading
King of Wands, Six of Cups, The Emperor + Ten of Cups
This Guidance pull has a clear goal in mind for February and that is: stepping up! We see clear themes of leadership and taking charge in this lineup.
King of Wands is heading off this month, bringing in a firm and confident energy. With Wands being the suit of action we are encouraged to make a move on goals or opportunities that have peaked interest or have been in the works. You might find yourself with the chance to take a direct leadership role in a work or domestic setting. If that's the case, the King of Wands is a strong reminder to have confidence in yourself and your ability to rise to the occasion.
It also warns against swinging to far in the opposite direction. Arrogance and iron-fists don't garner genuine respect but rather resentment which will inevitably hinder the efficiency of the goals you're trying to accomplish. Firm but fair is a more effective approach to keeping the ship on course.
Six of Cups is popping in the middle like a giant beacon of warning and advice. Escapism can be tempting and even sometimes helpful when dealing with difficult situations, however we can't turn back the clock so hiding in fond memories will ultimately prevent us from making some in the future. We are urged to press forward rather than chase what is behind. Instead, these past experiences can give us ample ability to pass on guidance to others beginning a similar journey and even to ourselves, who are navigating into new waters. Learn from the past but don't let it keep you there.
The Emperor brings us right back to that captain of the ship mentality with the added reminder to put in what you get out. Be involved with the crew and the tasks at hand in order to understand how to best guide them and yourself in the direction you want to go. This is also a reminder to think things through. With the energy of Wands at the front of the ship we may be inclined to act in spontaneity but there needs to be some critical and logical thinking involved in making decisions that not only affect you but who and what you are responsible for. Being a leader also means you are responsible for outcomes and the wellbeing of goals as well as the people involved. Whether this be work, home or community, don't take this position lightly.
We have a bonus card this month, Ten of Cups! This card perfectly wraps up the vision of this month's reading with: harmony. The goal of being a good leader and finding success in your endeavors is to emphasize the importance of each and every piece. A well oiled machine runs smoothly, all pieces work together. Maintaining this in life is a recipe for the flow of success. Each person and each pieces is just as important as the next, including yourself, so remember to give ample support and care to all. Avoid greed and impatience, they will have long-term negative effects on the goal and will inevitably provide ample amount of unnecessary headaches. Focus on harmony and flow to obtain success.
The month's guidance reading fits in well with the Reading on the Season's Knight of Swords for winter. Jump into action and take the lead but don't get carried away with the fantasy of power. Teamwork, harmony and guidance will steer you in the right direction and bring you to the shores of success.
