April Guidance Reading

The Hermit, Ace of Cups & The Hanged Man

April is expressing clear and direct themes of introspection and self-discovery. Like the changing season, we too can experience a change of perspective.

The Hermit starts us off this April by challenging us to look inward. As cycles change, so do we and it may be time to take stock of those changes and reevaluate our goals and needs. What lessons have been learned and how can they be incorporated moving forward?
Be careful not to pull back so far as to find yourself in isolation, or get yourself too wrapped up in inner monologues. Follow that voice too far and who knows where you'll end up.

Ace of Cups has us returning to our roots. What is the source of our convictions? Where does the heart truly lie? Following The Hermit, the Ace of Cups is a reminder not only to remain compassionate to yourself but to not lose sight of your core. How does what we have learned help or hinder who we are deep down?
Allow yourself to feel deeply in this state of retrospection, otherwise you may misunderstand how a new perspective connects with you as a whole. Emotion is just as important as logic when looking inward.

The Hanged Man urges us not to rush this process of growth and change. You should never be hasty with personal growth; it can be confusing and complex and in order to unpack it all effectively, you must have patience. There may be a lot of internal struggle and push back when it comes to change. We may not like to admit when we were wrong or misinformed or that we are included when time changes all, but in order to grow we must accept it. Shedding old versions of ourselves and our perspectives is what it means to progress and evolve.

April is all about self-discovery and introspection. Embrace the journey and yourself as a whole and you'll find that change isn't so scary in the grand scheme of things, but rather refreshing. Don't be afraid to look and love inwards and check in with yourself whenever it's necessary.
