2024 Reading of the Seasons

Winter will have us diving head first into our goals and facing our demons head on. Bravery and focus are crucial to honing this energy and advancing forward to victory. This knight comes with a word of caution towards apathy and taking things too far. Confidence in our endeavors is important however there is always risk of falling into a power hungry mindset and hurting those around us in the pursuit of success. Be careful not to let ego and ambition cloud and narrow your sight to those around you. Victory at all costs is isolating and detrimental to personal growth. 

The Queen urges some mental fortitude as we roll into spring. It will be important to seek out all angles and perspectives before taking action. This is a stage of planning and calculation. Seek wisdom within yourself or a knowledgeable person within your circle to decern the best course of action to move forward. Although there is caution of falling into stagnation by being over-analytical and critical, it will be very important to hone the awareness and discernment that comes with these traits when moving into summer. 

Summer: Seven of Swords 

Distractions and deception are red flags to look out for during this season. Being unprepared or neglecting responsibility can have us in an unfavorable situation. Now is not the time to have our heads in the clouds. Opportunity for success can be easily pulled out from under our feet if we are tempted away from our goals. Know who you can trust and move in silence - the less known about your action the less opportunity for betrayal. 

On the other hand, make sure you have all your ducks in a row before jumping into action. Heeding the lessons from the Queen of Swords will have you in a favorable position to move forward, otherwise the room for failure outweighs the chance of success. Stay aware and focused. 

Fall: Page of Swords 

Winding down into fall we can take a breather from the intensity of action and return to a pause for knowledge, however unlike the Queen, the Page has the blessing of being more broad and free in the pursuit of knowledge. The Page represents a fresh new exploration rather than analyzing already known concepts or ideas. Lean into curiosity and explore new avenues for growth. 

Though this energy brings us a pleasant peace and lightness to our mental load be cautious of being to gullible. Don't take everything at face value and know when propaganda is being sugar coated with eloquent words or appealing narratives. 

Critical thinking is just as important here as it is throughout the entire cycle. 

Keep focus and discernment at the forefront throughout the seasons. It will take tact and careful assessment to ensure success in your endeavors. Find patience for the need to think through each step otherwise you may be swept off track in a blaze of blind ambition
